Carolynne Wright Knisley – Secretary
Carolynne moved to the foothills of the Sierra Nevada in early 2006. She has two children of her own, a son, who works for the Sherriff’s department and a daughter who is a senior in college with plans to be a physical therapist.
She has 3 additional children by her marriage to Kirk, and three beautiful grandchildren, from the same. Co-owner of the local feed store, Cool Feed & Ranch Supply, a charming, friendly store where quality and value co-exist, Carolynne spends her days running the day to day operations of the store. She is an animal lover and lovingly shares her home with many horses, dogs and cats. Very active in the small town of Cool, California, she has spent many years volunteering for organizations including President/Treasurer & Historian of the school PTA – 7 years on the board of the Auburn Lake Trails Dolphins (local swim team) including President/Secretary/Treasurer and 4 years as the President/Treasurer for her daughters high school volleyball boosters club.
She is also actively involved in her Homeowners Association where she currently holds the position of Chairman on the Covenants Committee and spends many hours volunteering at the El Dorado County Fair. One of her hobbies is taking digital photographs. Exceptional at her craft, she has won multiple awards for her work including “Best of Show”.
In addition to her board responsibilities as HartSong’s Secretary, Carolynne also manages/holds three major fundraisers for HartSong Ranch annually – the always “sold out” Crab Feed and two Crafters Fairs that highlight local artisans.
Alexis Reynolds – Fundraising Coordinator/HairWars
Passionate about helping animals her whole life, Alexis has a special love for all animals. Daily, she provides loving care to 5 special needs Boston Terriers (most in diapers) and is also dedicated to helping the homeless with their animals by providing food, shelter, vet care and re-homing options when needed. It doesn’t matter if it’s an abandoned bunny, kitten or Pit Bull – Alexis is driven to help those without a voice.
Working as a hairstylist for 18 years, Alexis is currently the proud owner of Halo Salon and Day Spa in Roseville, California. She most graciously uses her Salon expertise and background in the industry to hold HairWars – a hair and beauty extravaganza fundraiser that benefits HartSong Ranch and other animal rescue organizations annually.
